INTERNSHIPS

Summary:

 

Looking for an interior design internship?. SCM Design Group located in The Woodlands TX, interior design firm, seeks a self-motivated student seeking a position in interior design. A creative and enthusiastic individual with strong background in interior design, architecture or related field.

 

Responsibilities

 

1. Assist in all areas of an interior design studio in including commercial, residential and hospitality projects 

2. Assist with clients to generate concepts, layout, furniture, fixtures, color, material, and millwork design.

 3. Gain exposure to all facets of a design project and exposure to customers. 

4. Prepare perspective renderings, material boards, and floor plans. 

5. Work with project managers to coordinate projects from start to finish.

6. Formulate preliminary space plans, 2-3 dimensional design concept studies and sketches that integrate client’s needs and are based on knowledge of principals of interior design and theories of human behaviour.

7. Manage the interior design resource library. 

 

Requirements

 

Excellent verbal/written communication and artistic skills are a MUST! 
Experience with CAD, InDesign, Sketch Up, Illustrator, and Photoshop 
Must be productive, flexible, and team-oriented 
Must be detail oriented and thorough 
Must meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced 

 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain real world experience. This internship will be paid based (Hours and Transportation expenses)
